Family Reunion

Even though my parents are away for 3 years on a mission we still managed to get all of us together minus them! Alisa and I planned the reunion. Alisa did more work than I did but we spent many many afternoons together planning every detail - down to how many bagels we thought a group of 50+ would eat or how many fruit snacks would we go through in a week! You know - the important things - FOOD! The reunion was a great success and I think it is safe to say everyone had fun! We stayed up in the mountains in Idaho about 40 min from yellowstone Park. We spent our days floating down the river, playing games, going to Yellowstone, swimming, jumping off bridges (some of us!), eating, doing skits, hanging out and a lot more.  We missed mom and dad so so much. There were so many times throughout the reunion we'd say too bad mom isn't her because she would...... or to bad dad isn't here because right now he would......By the last day and a half sickness hit. We managed to pick up some nasty virus in Yellowstone. It was a domino effect and everyone waited wondering who would get it next. It just wouldn't be a reunion without some throwing up!! Thankfully our family never got it but I felt bad for those who did!!

Love being part of this family!

Our first night together. Here we are with our pic nic blankets all the way from Mexico!! Thanks mom and dad!!
This cracked me up! Adam brought old family portraits from mom and dad's home and put them on the mantle all week! Too funny!
This was the view from our house!! How can you not love waking up to this every morning!?!??!

Eric and Katie were so so nice to volunteer to purchase all the food and bring it out with them!! That was a giant task!! Here is the trailer of food!

Travis planned a super fun scavenger hunt for all the kids. Here is the winning team!!(Jane, Camie, Andrew, Ethan, and Tanner)
Most nights we tried to facetime with mom and dad. It didn't always work out so well but it was fun to see them and have them be part of some of the evenings.
Instead of a talent show we did lip sinc night. Adam and Meghan asked Andy and I to join in theirs. It was so funny!
Nice pants Adam!

Brian and Rachelle's family did the funniest synchronized swimming dance.
Ethan picked our song - Gummy Bear! Here is Jane wearing her costume!

This game was a big hit. Not sure what you call it but everyone got a swim noodle and ran around hitting tails off of everyone! Who doesn't like that?!??!? We had a round for the kids and the adults of course had to do it so we had our own round also.

This sandy hill seemed to be a huge hit for lots of the kids. If you didn't know where the kids were they were most likely playing on this hill

One day we went to St. Anthony and had a great day swimming in the river, jumping off Diving boards and going down homemade water slides. It felt like total country play and we loved it!

 Here is the water slide

Where is this girl's mom??!?!! Ha! Here is sweet sweet olivia!!

We had a road race one morning. The kids and adults all had fun participating

 Here are the runners!

Here is the bridge my uncle Tal took a group to jump off. Ethan and Andy were in that group. I'm glad I didn't know what they were doing until after the fact!!

Here are our travel buddies. Seems we have done a handful of long road trips with Matt's family. It makes the traveling a lot more fun!
